Barnet’s sixth annual multi-agency children’s workforce conference – New challenges in child protection - understanding the issues and promoting an agenda for change - was held on 24 October 2012.
Approximately 160 children’s workforce attended the conference which was hosted by Kate Kennally, Director of Adult Social Care and Interim Director of Children’s Service.
The theme for this year’s conference focused on delivering effective children’s services in the current economic climate by examining the complexities of child maltreatment, neglect, on-line grooming and considering how practitioners can work effectively to promote improved outcomes for children and young people.
