Adult and Community education
Information on adult and community learning course is available from Barnet College
The council provides a family learning service which offers a range of programmes that aim to raise parental awareness of how children learn and to enable parents/carers and children to learn together and achieve. Programmes include combined classes for children parent/carers to learn together as well as parent/carers only classes to help develop skills and understanding and promote access to further learning, training and employment.
The family learning team can:
- provide funding to pay for targeted initiatives including crèche facilities
- help schools and organisations to set up courses
- support links with local colleges and other institutions
