Black History Month
In October 2007 we celebrated the positive contributions people of Asian, African and Caribbean descent have made to British society, and increased awareness of the cultural heritage of Black people:
- We worked closely with a range of organisations in Barnet to bring a programme of events to local people.
- Working together, this programme gave opportunities to watch, learn and participate in a range of activities that explore the history and culture of Black and Asian people.
- The main focus was Black History Month in October, but there were various ongoing activities at other times in the year.
