This section briefly explains the different types of childcare available, and which types require registration by Ofsted. How do I make the right choice – Knowing your options? All registered childcare in England must meet National Standards which are set out by the Government. National Standards ensure that the care of young children is consistent across the country, so that no matter where the care is provided children are protected and parents reassured.
Whatever type of childcare you choose you can be sure that all registered providers will protect your child from harm and support your child to reach his/her full potential. All providers must contribute to your child’s welfare and development, that is, ‘Making Every Child Matter’.
