Commercial waste and recycling

All businesses have a duty to ensure that their waste is collected by a registered waste carrier. The business must provide a written description of the waste to the person who removes it, this is called a ‘Waste Transfer Note’ and must be completed by both persons involved in the transfer.

All reasonable steps must be taken to store waste safely and securely.
