The National Autistic Society campaigns for rights and services for people with autism. It gives information to those affected by autism, provides support through a branch network, offers parent to parent telephone contact and befriending schemes and also offers an education advocacy service. The NAS has developed the Early Bird programme for newly diagnosed children and their parents and has an extensive publication list.
