Richmond Fellowship is a registered charity and a leading national specialist in holistic and person-centred mental health care, working in the community to facilitate the recovery of people with mental health problems. The services offered in Barnet are:

Support into Employment and Training: person centred support to those who wish to enter or return to mainstream paid employment, education and/or training, or voluntary work plus on-going support for 6 months to 1 year following achievement of one of these outcomes.

Supported Work Placements: as a stepping stone into the world of work, we offer in-house work placements such as Admin Assistant, Support Worker, Client Team Leader, Receptionist, etc. This is complemented with a range of individually tailored work placements with a range of local and national employers.

Job Clubs: run at our premises in Moxon Street, Barnet and at a number of community locations, these provide the opportunity for a group of people to meet on a weekly basis to support each other with their job seeking activities and receive support from a qualified Employment Advisor ? please call for information on current locations.

Training Services: practical and vocational training for those who need to learn new or refresh existing skills. Full details of our training provision can be viewed on our RF Barnet website. Current courses available are:

- Preparation for Work

- Career Planning and Making Applications

- Practical Office Skills for the Workplace

- IT from complete beginner to Level 2 equivalent (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and using the Internet)

- Graphic Design, Digital Printing and Web Design

Day Activities: provides work-based, creative and socially inclusive activities for service users who require a higher level of support and who may not be ready to enter mainstream activities or would like support to access these.

To access the service, people must be:
- over the age of 18
- unemployed
- diagnosed with a mental health problem (includes anxiety/depression)
- have an insight into their mental health problem(s)
- able to work with RF staff to complete an individually tailored action and support plan

- motivated to engage, and able to attend, the activities agreed in their action and support plan

If you are not sure if our service is suitable or what activities are of interest and you would like to find out more, please do get in touch with us. We also run informal open mornings where people with mental health problems, their carers, friends, family members and mental health professionals can visit to have a look round, find out more about us and chat to staff and service users, before making any commitment to register with us. Should our service not be suitable, we have extensive knowledge of other services available in Barnet which we can signpost and/or refer people to.

How to apply:
Referrals are welcomed from a wide range of agencies supporting people recovering from mental health problems, including Psychiatrists, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Support Workers, GPs, Jobcentre Plus, etc.

Referral forms can be requested from the Activities Coordinator for Day Activities or the Employment Services Team for Employment / Training Services and returned to us here in Barnet.

Our services are free of charge to those who are funded by Barnet Health and/or Social Care. A daily fee is applicable to those who are funded by agencies from outside Barnet (funding agreement available on request).
