Edgware Town Centre
Edgware town centre is Barnet’s only major town centre and includes The Broadwalk Shopping Centre, which is home to over 40 shops and cafes all under one roof. There are also a number of interesting and specialist shops and restaurants on the high street. Edgware Library is situated in the town centre.
Edgware town centre has good transport links. The Northern Line terminates at Edgware and the bus station is adjacent to it in Station Road. There is a car park in The Broadwalk Shopping Centre, which has 250 parking spaces, including allocated disabled and mother and baby parking bays.
A planning strategy is being produced for Edgware town centre. This will be prepared with key stakeholders and will set out the aspirations for the town centre. It will guide pre-application discussions with developers, negotiations over Section 106 agreements and allow planning applications to be shaped with an eye towards all factors affecting the town centre over the next 5 to 15 years.
