How to register (the yearly annual registration)
Reminder voter registration forms will be going out in September
The annual registration canvass began in July. Every household in the borough was sent a registration form to confirm the list of all the people in your household who are eligible to vote. It is essential that the form is completed and returned. If you have not completed a registration form at your address you will receive the reminder shortly which you need to complete and return as soon as possible using the options below, this will ensure you are on the register which is published on 1st December 2010.
- If there are no changes then you can register by telephone, text or internet. Details on how to do this are printed on the voter registration form
- If you are registering for the first time at your property then return your form by post
- If you wish to add or remove residents details or make any other changes then return the form by post
- If you prefer to post the form rather than use the telephone or internet, please make the necessary amendments to your form, then sign and return in the envelope provided
- If you are returning the form please note that it must be signed. If you don't sign it, the form will be sent back to you.
Failure to register by telehone/internet or post may result in your name(s) being removed from the register. By law you have to register every year. If you do not receive a registration form or if you require any further information please contact us using the details in the menu on the left.

Who can look at the register?
The full register is available at the Electoral Registration Office. The electoral register is a public document and is open to inspection under strick supervision by electoral registration staff.
The edited register is available at all libraries throughout the borough. The Electoral Registration Office can also confirm if a person is registered to a property.
