The Art and Culture Dementia Café

The Art and Culture Dementia Café is an informal meeting place for people concerned about their memory and their carers. It is an opportunity to receive peer support and information whilst taking part in activities such as pottery, dance, photography, film making, theatre workshops and much more.

There will be three Cafes running each month, one is New Barnet, another in Mill Hill and one more in Golders Green:

Health Walks - Woodside Park/Totteridge

Weekly instructor led health walk around Woodside Park

Grade rating = 1 (ratings 1-5.  1= easy, 5 = challenging). 

The London Borough of Barnet organises and runs seven instructor-led health walks across the borough on a weekly basis. Each one is led by a qualified instructor and includes additional exercises to challenge your physical fitness and develop strength and conditioning.

Walking provides an affordable mode of exercise, improves your health and is a great way to meet people and make new friends.

The walks are open to anyone over the age of 18. There is no need to book, just turn up, come rain or shine. 

Walks cost £2.80, payable on the day, or you can purchase 10 walks for £22.40 or £18 if you are over the age of 60 (proof of eligibility required).

Please note that no Saturday, Sunday or Monday walks are held on Bank Holiday weekends.

Hendon library crime / thriller reading group

An opportunity to share a love of crime writing with others. Each month the group discusses a particular novel or author within the crime genre. Sessions take place on the first Monday each month.

Just Play Football sessions

Part of the Just Play programme. Casual drop in session aimed at getting players aged 16+ into football

The Just Play programme, run by the FA and Mars, is aimed at getting people aged 16+ back into football.

There is a casual drop in session run on a Monday night from 7pm - 8pm at Burnt Oak Leisure Centre. 

As its World Cup season participants are being invited to a free taster session on Monday 7 July.  Participants can play for free, and receive a free Mars Bars and other Just Play initiatives.
