As part of Age UK’s National Falls Awareness Week you are invited by Age UK Barnet and Home Instead Senior Care Barnet to attend a FREE fun day of, dance and exercise demonstrations, tea, lunch, and talks. The theme of this event is the importance of foot health as part of avoiding falls. Falls are one of the leading reasons for older people being hospitalised and this event will show you some of the fun ways of keeping active, eating and drinking well, and taking care of yourself.
The event will take place at Age UK Barnet’s Meritage Centre in Hendon on June 19, 2013. Come for 10:30 am for tea and biscuits with an 11:00 am start on the day. Lunch will be provided. Age UK Barnet will be showcasing a range of the services and programmes they organise and host that provide great opportunities to keep active and to meet new people in your community. In addition there will be a range of stalls providing useful information and advice. This event is entirely free and will be an entertaining and informative day away. All are welcome, so come along and enjoy!
