1. How do I apply for a place in a Barnet school?
The Admissions Team (020 8359 7651) deal with all enquiries about admissions into Barnet schools, priority allocation areas, secondary transfer, open evenings and appeals.
2. How do I apply for free school meals or free travel in Barnet?
If there is a particular enquiry about free and assisted travel, telephone 020 8359 7654. For further information on free school meals or an application form, please contact your school directly.
3. Where can I find more information about levels of achievement at schools?
The Department for Education (DfE) and Ofsted provide this information.
4. My child has been excluded from school, where can I get some further advice?
We have a Barnet Exclusions Officer who will be able to discuss any concerns you may have about exclusions at schools, the contact number is 020 8359 7743.
5. I am looking to take a private examination, can you tell me where I can complete this?
There are Registered Centres 
(PDF: 24KB) through out London that can provide private examinations. Learn Direct (external link) also offer advice for people aged 16+.
6. I am looking for funding for my higher education, and have a query about a student loan?

7. I need a copy of my school exam certificate, how can I locate this?
Duplicates of exam certificates are not available from the local authority. However, Certifying Statement(s) of Results can be provided by the examination boards. Contact details for the examination boards are:
