How do I apply for rehousing?

You can apply for sheltered housing if you are over 60 and are able to look after yourself with the support of home care services or meals at home. All requests are considered by the Sheltered Housing Allocations Panel, which can award additional points or make recommendations according to your need for the service.
You can obtain an application form and get more information about sheltered schemes from Barnet Council’s Housing Advice Team, Tel: 020 8359 4797.
We may also be able to arrange for you to visit one of the schemes and talk to the Sheltered Housing Officer or for an officer to visit you at home.
You can also apply for non sheltered accommodation by filling out a homeseekers registration form
