Do parking places operate at the times shown on Controlled Zone entry signs?
Not necessarily – the large signs at the entrance to a controlled zone only indicate when single yellow lines within the zone operate. Some yellow lines in a CPZ may also operate at different times which will be shown on nearby signs.
Double yellow lines apply at any time and don’t need a sign. Parking places may operate at different times and signs or tariff plates on pay and display machines should be checked. There may be different hours and days of control of parking place and waiting restrictions – even in the same street – to meet local needs and parking pressures.
