| Details: | We are currently carrying out analysis into the provision of care to elderly persons. In order to assist in our work, please would you be able to provide the following information? The information should be readily available from the relevant department with responsibility for social care. 1. Does the local authority own any care homes registered to provide nursing or residential care to the elderly? If the answer to the above is No, please respond to that effect without the need to complete the following. If the answer is Yes, please also respond to the following: 2. Is the care provided by local authority employees or is the home operated by an independent body by way of lease or management agreement? 3. Is there any strategy in place at present to close or sell the homes as going concerns? 4. Can you please confirm the names and locations of the facilities?
