Tempelhof-Schöneberg

Town Tempelhof
Country Germany
Information Tempelhof-Schöneberg is the seventh borough of Berlin, formed in 2001 by merging the former boroughs of Tempelhof and Schöneberg and is situated directly south of the city centre. The link was established in 1961 between the old Tempelhof Borough Council and the following an approach by the British Foreign Office to the old Hendon Borough Council. The Foreign Office suggested the link as both areas are within a capital city and, at that time, both had an airfield. Although the airfields are now closed both boroughs have a similar charm: a thriving economy of small and medium businesses, diverse society and nice green areas.
