Housing Benefit Team performance
How quickly are we assessing new claims and changes of circumstance?
The time taken is the number of calendar days (including weekends and public holidays) from when we were first notified of a claim or a change of circumstances to the date it was assessed and completed.
From April 2008 the Best Value Performance Indicators were replaced by National Indicators (NI's).
NI 181 - the Right Time Indicator measures the number of days taken to process all new claims and changes of circumstances divided by the total number of new claims and changes of circumstances.
| Average number of days taken to assess for: | Performance 2008/9 | Performance for year to date (Apr09 - Dec09) | Target |
|---|---|---|---|
| New claims | 27.18 days | 21.97 days | N/A |
| Change of circumstance | 6.11 days | 5.62 days | N/A |
| Combined new claimes and change of circumstances -NI 181 - Right Time Indicator | 10.26 days | 8.64 days | 14 Days |
