Care worker
A person will be disregarded for the purposes of calculating a discount if they are engaged in providing care or support (or both) to another person and that this is provided:
- on behalf of a relevant body such as a local authority or other body established for charitable purposes; or
- that they are employed to provide the care or support, and the introduction came from a relevant body, such as a local authority or other body established for charitable purposes; and
that they are engaged to do so for at least 24 hours a week; and in receipt of not more than £44 per week; and resident in premises provided by the relevant body, or his/her employer, for the better performance of his/her work.
