Apprentices
A person will be disregarded for the purposes of calculating a discount if the following criteria are met:
- he/she is employed for the purpose of learning a trade or profession and is undertaking a training programme leading to a qualification accredited by the National Council for Vocational Qualifications (NCVQ) and,
- he/she is employed at a salary of no more than £160 per week and that the salary is substantially less than is likely to be received of the qualification is received.
Restrictions apply in certain circumstances.
