Patients of a residential home, nursing home or mental nursing home or hostel
A person will be disregarded for the purposes of calculating a discount if the following criteria are met:
- the person has their sole or main residence in a residential care home, nursing home, mental nursing home or hostel in England and Wales; and
- the person is receiving care and/or treatment in the home or hostel.
Restrictions apply in certain circumstances.
