Single residents' discount
The Council Tax bill will assume that there are two or more adults living at the address on the bill. It is also assumed that these people live in the property as their main home. If only one person lives in the dwelling as their main home, then a discount of 25% may be awarded.
If you would like to apply for a reduction, please email us at local.taxation@barnet.gov.uk. Please quote the address to which the discount will apply, the Council Tax account number if known, and your contact details.
