School and college leavers
A person will be disregarded for the purposes of calculating a discount if they fall into this category. This category applies to young persons aged 18 or 19 years who leave school or college between 1 May and 31 October in any year. People under 20 who leave school or who finish a course at a further education college after 30 April in any year are disregarded (for discount purposes) until the next 1 November.
The following confirmation is required.
- proof of entitlement to child benefit e.g. photocopies of front and second page of child benefit book; and
- letter of confirmation from school or college
