Deputy Mayor
The Mayor has the power to appoint a deputy who can carry out all the Mayor’s functions if he/she is unable to act or if the office of Mayor is vacant. However, the Deputy Mayor does not receive invitations or attend functions in their own right, only doing so at the request of the Mayor.
