Childcare
We work in partnership with local childminders and offer a childminder group once a week, where parents can come and meet their local childminders.
Adult learning
Adult education courses are run by Barnfield staff and partner agencies including Barnet College. These courses have included ESOL (English for speakers of other languages), first aid, first aid for babies, language and play and mural painting.
There is crèche provision for parents who are attending courses.
Health services
Health services we provide include:
- healthy eating groups
- breastfeeding support
- access to Midwives and Health Visitors.
Other services
Other services we offer include:
- baby clinic
- parent and toddler drop-in sessions
- information surgeries
- library service and rhyme time
- soft play sessions
- mencap group (external link)
- internet cafe
- young parents drop-in
Opening times
We are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Closure dates:
- weekends
- bank holidays
There are also up to five "inset days" each year when Barnfield Children’s Centre will be closed for staff training.
