Please note: we also be provide activities/services from Kennedy Leigh and The London Jewish Centre.
- Every parents who attends our services is required to fill out a estart registration form.
(PDF: 156KB). This allows us to register your attendance and keep you informed of our services. It is advised that parents fill out this registration form prior to attending the centre and the form only needs to be completed once.
Childcare and education
We provide 52 part-time (term-time) places for children aged three to four years. Information on nursery places can be obtained from the main school office using the contact details above.
We also work in partnership with Middlesex University which offers childcare from three months to five years. The nursery is open 50 weeks a year from 8am – 6pm, 9am – 5pm in the holiday period.

We can put you in touch with local registered childminders in the area. If you are a childminder and are looking for activities to do you are welcome to access our childminders group and take advantage of our indoor and outdoor activities.
Adult learning
Adult and family learning courses take place here and these have included first aid for babies and children,computer workshops. These courses are run both by the Children’s Centre and partnership agencies such as Barnet College.
Parents attending our courses can also take advantage of our free crèche.
Parent and family support
We run regular parent support courses including, strengthening families, strengthening communities and the Solihull approach parenting course.
A free crèche and refreshments are also provided along with these courses.
We offer family support and outreach both in the centre and out in the community. Our staff can also help families access more specialised services from external agencies such as CAMHS and Homestart (external link).
Health services
Health services can be accessed at Bell Lane Children’s Centre via health visitors including:
- baby clinic
- breastfeeding advice and support surgeries, with advice on feeding your baby
- baby massage
- information and advice available for babies and young children
- postnatal support and advice
- midwifery service to deliver post-natal services (appointment only, booking system by the Royal Free NHS Trust midwifery services)
- two year old development checks
- healthy eating
- stop smoking information sessions.

Other services offered at Bell Lane Children's Centre include:
- Childminding Network
- IPOP
- community group
- parent and toddler group
- stay and play drop-in groups
- library service
- Job Centre Plus (external) – we work in partnership with Job Centre Plus to help with job searches, C.V writing and we also run a job club
- english conversation groups
- baby/toddler play and rhyme time
- activities for fathers/male carers and their children
- information services provided by FYi and Welfare Rights.
When we are open
We are open 48 weeks per year from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
