Childcare and education
Coppetts Wood Children's Centre provides 16 full time equivalent places for children aged three to five-years-old, with links to local childminders for children from birth to three-years-old.

Adult learning and support
Regular adult learning courses run by Coppetts Wood Children’s Centre in conjunction with Barnet College. Courses have included first aid, ESOL (English for speakers of other languages), learning to read with your child, return to work, CACHE (external link) (courses and qualifications in the care and education of children and young people) level 1 and level 2, and enjoy and achieve with your child (parenting programme around toddlers).
Parents attending our courses can also take advantage of our free crèche.
Incredible Years Parenting Programme
Do you have a child aged one to three years?
Do you want to know how to:
- set routines
- set boundaries
- use positive discipline
- strengthen children’s social skills
- use praise to encourage co-operative behaviour
The Incredible Years Parenting Programme is for parents and carers experiencing moderate difficulties who want to improve their relationship with their children.
Sessions include: discussions, skills training, problem solving and DVD clips.
The course takes place over 14 weekly sessions lasting two hours.
Start date: Every Monday starting 23 January 2012
Time: 12.30-2.30pm

When we are open
We are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.
Closure dates:
- weekends (open on rotating Saturdays for father’s group around locality)
- bank holidays
- two weeks over Christmas and New Year
- the last two weeks in August.
There will also be up to five additional "inset days" each year when Coppetts Wood will be closed for staff training these dates.
