If you are interested in setting up a registered childcare business then Barnet Council can offer basic business start up advice and registration support through the Early Intervention and Prevention Business Team.
Becoming a Registered Childminder
There are monthly Childminding Information sessions to those interested in becoming a registered childminder. To book on to a session, please contact us using the details on the left.

The childcare market in Barnet
Every three years Barnet Council undertakes a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA)
(PDF: 2.6MB) which assesses the demand and supply within the childcare market. This will help you with conducting your market research before planning on setting up your business within Barnet. It will indicate what the demand and supply for childcare is within Barnet at the time of assessment.
