Stonegrove Children’s Centre is run by Barnet Pre-school Learning Alliance part of a national educational charity which supports parents with children under five and reports to Barnet Council.

Childcare and education
No childcare is available at Stonegrove, however staff are able to provide information of local providers in the area.
Adult learning and parenting support
Parenting support courses, designed to help parents gain confidence and enjoy their parenting role, are run by Stonegrove staff and partner agencies including Barnet College. These courses have included advice and guidance in child development and ESOL (English for speakers of other languages).
Some of our courses have a crèche facility for parents attending our courses.
Health services
A midwifery service is available at Stonegrove which is arranged through midwives at Edgware Hospital.
Health visitors attend the centre to offer advice and support and baby weighing. A post natal programme is also run at the centre by the health visiting team.
Other services
Other services offered at Stonegrove Children's Centre include:
- Childminding Network
- baby massage
- play and talk with me workshops run by Speech and Language Therapists
- fathers support
- advice sessions for parents with special needs
- stay and play groups
- information surgeries.
Please note that we also provide activities/services from Edgware Library.
When we are open
We are open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Closure dates:
- weekends
- bank holidays
- one week over Christmas.
There will also be up to five additional "inset days" each year when Stonegrove will be closed for staff training.
