Hate crime is physical or verbal abuse based on your race, religion, sexuality or membership of any identifiable group of people. If you feel you are being victimised there is a network of support in Barnet to help you.

The council takes equality issues very seriously, and has a number of different groups, the Multi-Faith Forum, the Strategic Hate Crime Forum and the Safer Communities Team. They all meet regularly to discuss issues affecting the borough and to look at ways to tackle hate crime in all its forms.
