Reporting Hate Crime
Reporting to the council
London Borough of Barnet runs a 24 hour phone line for reporting Hate Crime: 020 8359 5620.
A Community Safety officer is available to take calls between 09:00 - 17:00, Mon to Friday. Callers can leave a recorded message outside these hours. If the complainant leaves their personal contact details, a Community Safety Officer will make contact within 24 hours of getting the call.
Reports can also be made anonymously. A report will be logged and used to monitor the overall incidence of hate crime. This information can contribute to prevention activities, but there will be no direct follow up contact with the complainant.
