Funeral expenses
Whether we choose burial or cremation for our loved ones, there are inevitably a number of different fees and charges associated with the funeral arrangements.
In the vast majority of cases a funeral director will have been engaged to carry out the arrangements and they will invoice the family for their services after the funeral has been completed. It may be the case that the family chose to organise the funeral themselves, you can find out information about independent funerals online or by contacting the staff at Hendon Cemetery.
Further information relating to the charges made by a funeral director can be found by visiting the website of The National Association of Funeral Directors.
Other expenses
Following the funeral service there may be other expenses to take into account such as:
- buying the grave or reserving space for a future interment
- buying a headstone or other memorial
- post-cremation memorials
