Disability Equality Scheme Launch: 4 December 2006
Barnet Council launched its first Disability Equality Scheme on 4 December 2006. The Scheme was launched at North London Business Park and sets out how the Local Authority will meet its duty to promote disability equality.
The event was attended by representatives from disabled organisations together with members of local voluntary and community organisations. Speakers included the Cabinet Member for Community Services, the Department of Health, Metropolitan Police and Disability Action in the borough of Barnet.
