Barnet register office
The register office, is at 182 Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware. The office operates an appointment system and all persons wishing to attend at either office should firstly telephone the above number to make an appointment.
The register office holds the records for all births, deaths and marriages occurring in the borough since 1837 and all applications for certificates should be made to this office. All other enquiries for advice or information, including matters relating to marriages and appointments to give a notice of marriage or civil partnership should also be made through this office.
The register office has an office suite and marriage room with adjoining gardens. The marriage room can accommodate 70 people and all facilities are on the ground floor with full disabled access.
The room may also be used for Naming and Renewal of Vows ceremonies. There is ample parking at the front of the building with additional parking facilities along the Broadway.
The office is well served by both bus and tube. The Northern Line tube service runs close by and the Edgware station is only a short bus ride from the Register Office. Burnt Oak station is less than a 5 minute walk from the office.
The following buses all run past the Register Office, nos. 32, 142, 204, 251 and 292.
