Personal budgets and self-directed support
We are changing the way we support people who are over 18 years and need social care. We aim to increase people’s independence by providing them with a greater choice of services and more control over the support they receive.
To do this, we plan to make a number of changes to the way in which we carry out Adult Social Services casework. As part of the development for these changes, we want to have a discussion with the public to provide them with an understanding of the proposed changes and an opportunity to comment on them. The responses we get from this discussion will be fed into the further development of our proposals.
