Childcare in Barnet: consultation closed, Wednesday 31 October 2007
From April 2008, Barnet Council has a legal duty to ensure there is sufficient childcare provision to meet the needs of working parents, now and in the future. In order to do this, we conducted our first consultation about the childcare market.
The results of the consultation have been set out in the Childcare Sufficiency Assessment report
(PDF: 991KB) which provides information on the supply and demand for childcare, and identifies potential childcare gaps.
Barnet Council, working with partners, will review the findings of this report and draw up an action plan for 2008-2011. In consultation with parents, carers, providers and employers the action plan will be reviewed and updated annually.
