Review of the Gambling Statement of Principles
Consultation period: 2 September 2009- 26 November 2009
Residents, Businesses, Faith Groups, Community Groups are all being asked for their views as to our gambling statement of principles which we are obliged to publish as part of the Gambling Act 2005.
- The Act requires all licensing authorities to publish a Statement of Gambling Principles, with the policy being reviewed every three years.
- This policy was first published on 3 January 2007, and is now due its first review.

- The Gambling Commission's guidance document (external link) is for those seeking to better understand the Gambling Act 2005 and the revisions made to our statement of principles.
- The consultation period started on the 2 September and ends on the 26 November 2009.
- Responses ('Representations') can be made either by writing to us (using the contact details opposite) or by way of completing our consultation response form. (PDF 64KB)

- These responses will be considered and reported to the Licensing Committee in December 2009
