New national planning application form
If you are thinking about making a planning application...
- The government has introduced a new national Standard Planning Application Form (1APP)
- After 6 April 2008, all planning applications, including those in Barnet, will have to be made on this new form
- Also, there will be a set of supplementary information which applicants will have to submit with their applications.
Comprehensive information on this new application form, including guidance on how to complete it, can be found on the website of the Planning Portal.
In Barnet, some extra data will be requested from planning applicants in addition to the compulsory national information. This extra information is called the ‘local requirements’.
We are now consulting residents, developers and property professionals about:
- Standard Application Form (1APP) consultation questionnaire
(PDF: 167KB) - Barnet's local requirements
(PDF: 413KB)
The two documents should be read side-by-side. The consultation runs from 12 March 2008 to 5pm on 1 April 2008.
Copies of the consultation can also be obtained from the Planning Service offices at the address shown opposite, in all Barnet libraries and at the Action.Point at Hendon Town Hall.
You can respond to this consultation electronically or via post by sending the completed questionnaire to the address details opposite or complete the online survey questionnaire.
Surgeries for further help
There are several 'surgeries' to help customers adapt to the changes to the planning application system. They will be held by staff at the Planning Service offices in the period up to 6 April 2008.
