Support services in sheltered housing - consultation on proposals for change
We consulted with residents of sheltered housing, with families and carers and with providers of support services on proposals for changes to the way we provide housing related support to older people. The extensive consultation exercise ran for six weeks from 16 February until 31 March 2009. The consultation involved questionnaires and meetings at sheltered housing locations affected by the proposals.
In the consultation many of the sheltered housing residents raised concerns about the loss of a resident warden service and the impact on security. A summary of the views expressed were included in the Cabinet report on 8 June 2009.
