Data Protection Act
The Data Protection Act regulates the use of personal information and places duties upon the council in terms of how we collect, process, store and disclose information about people.
Freedom of Information Act
The Freedom of Information Act gives public right of access to information held by public authorities. It is intended to promote openness and accountability.
Access to Information Procedure Rules
These rules detail the public’s right to attend meetings and their right to access to agendas, papers and minutes of meetings.

Access To Meeting Papers
These pages give dates of forthcoming meetings and allow you to access all agendas, reports and decisions for a particular meeting. You can also track the progress of reports and their associated minutes through the decision making process.
Audit Commission Act 1998
Section 15 of the Audit Commission Act 1998 gives a right of inspection of accounts to be audited and related documents.
