Register of Members' Interests
Members are required by law to declare certain interests when they become a Councillor, Co-opted or Independent Member. On appointment each Member completes a Register of Members’ Interests form which provides details of the interests declared by each Member. The register also shows whether a Member has any beneficial, financial or other interests which may constitute a potential conflict of interest with Council business. It is a potential breach of the Members’ Code of Conduct if a Member gives false or misleading information on the Members’ Register of Interests form, or deliberately omits information
