Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)
Section 35 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires every local planning authority to make an annual report to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on the implementation of Local Development Documents and saved Unitary Development Plan policies.
Monitoring is essential to establish what is happening now and what may happen in the future. It represents a crucial feedback loop within the cyclical process of policy making.
The Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) provides information on Barnet's programme of policy making and the wider factors influencing our policies. It identifies the key planning challenges and opportunities facing the borough and enables adjustments and revisions to be made if necessary.
