Contributions to Libraries SPD
The Contributions to Libraries Supplementary Planning document (SPD) was adopted on 5 June 2008. The Contributions to Libraries 
(PDF:457KB) Supplementary Planning Document was prepared as part of the local development Framework (LDF). The LDF will form the basis for planning decisions within the borough.
The Contributions to Libraries SPD which was adopted on the 5 June 2008 will aso supplement the policies and proposals of the Adopted May 2006 Unitary Development Plan and The London Plan Spatial Development Strategy for Greater London adopted in July 2011.(external link) Together these form the Development Plan of the borough.
we have also prepared a Sustainability Appraisal (PDF:201KB) in conjunction with the document. This explains why the council has prepared the SPD on Contributions to Libraries. We have also produced an Adoption Statement (PDF:205KB) and a Consultation Statement (PDF: 112KB) as required by the Town and Country Planning (Local Development (England) Regulations 2004. You can also view the Council's responses to the comments received during the consultation period. Copies of these documents can also be viewed at the reception area of the Planning, Housing and Regeneration service and in all Barnet libraries.
