Barnet Development Plan Documents (DPDs), 2005 – 2008
Barnet Core Strategy DPD
The Core Strategy will replace Part 1 and those parts of Part 2 of the Unitary Development Plan (UDP) - due for adoption in Autumn 2005 - which establish the current strategic vision and monitoring and implementation framework for the Barnet borough. Proposals Map DPD
The policies and proposals illustrated on the UDP Proposals Map (due for adoption in Autumn 2005) will be identified if ‘saved’. Subject to public consultation the new Proposals Map will illustrate new policies and proposals arising from the DPDs, in a way that can be understood by local communities and stakeholders alike. Site Development Policies DPD
The allocation of land for specific uses will be set out in this Development Plan Document. Identification of such sites should be based upon a robust and credible assessment of the suitability and availability of land. Barnet’s Development Plan Document on Site Development policies will contain and develop/review the range of existing UDP policies. The Barnet UDP Policy Replacement Schedule set out in Appendix 3 of the Local Development Scheme gives an indication of the range of policy issues to be addressed in this document. North London Waste Plan DPD
This Development Plan Document will contain a set of policies and proposals against which sites for waste development can be identified. It will provide a policy framework against which planning applications for waste development and use of land and buildings will be considered.
It will provide a framework for joint waste planning within the seven boroughs that form the North London Waste Authority It will also identify the sites necessary to meet Government targets on waste and recycling. Colindale Area Action Plan (AAP) DPD
This Development Plan Document sets out comprehensive proposals and policies for the development of Colindale, incorporating major redevelopment opportunities and major transport infrastructure changes. This area is already identified as an Area for Intensification in the London Plan. This Area Action Plan (AAP) will stimulate development interest and provide a framework for implementing regeneration initiatives. Mill Hill East Area Action Plan (AAP) DPD
This Development Plan Document will set out comprehensive proposals and policies for the development of Mill Hill East incorporating major redevelopment opportunities and major transport infrastructure changes. This area has already been identified as an Area for Intensification in the London Plan. This Area Action Plan will stimulate development interest and provide a framework for implementing regeneration initiatives. For more information see page 28 of the Local Development Scheme (LDS).
