The Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) was adopted on 8 February 2007
A Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on Affordable Housing 
(PDF: 2.5MB) was perpared as part of the Local Development Framework (LDF). The LDF will form the basis for planning decisions within the borough.
The Affordable Housing SPD which was adopted on the 8 February 2007 will also supplement the policies and proposals of the Adopted May 2006 Unitary Development Plan (UDP) and the London Plan (2004).Together these form the Development Plan for the borough.
- We have also prepared a Sustainability Appraisal (PDF: 198KB) in conjunction with the document. This explains why the Council has prepared the SPD on Affordable Housing.
- We have also produced an Adoption Statement (PDF: 83KB) and a Consultation Statement (PDF 108KB), as required by the Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2004.
- You can also view the Council's responses (PDF: 575KB) to the comments received during the consultation period.
- We have now updated Appendix 3 of the SPD -Barnet Total Cost Indicators.It is now in line with the Retail Price Index and provides costs for 2007-2008
Copies of these documents can also be viewed at the reception of the Planning and Environmental Protection Service and in all Barnet libraries.
