Underhill Children's Centre
The newly constructed Underhill Children’s Centre was handed over by the contractor, Willmott Dixon Construction, on 10 February, 2009.
What will it provide?
The Children’s Centre will have:
- 50 daycare places for 2-4 year olds, alongside a
- 26 place nursery and
- two new reception classrooms to provide a modern, early years’ educational facility
- community services, including adult training classes,
- childminding facilities and
- medical inspection appointments.
The new building has allowed the school to demolish three out of date and unsuitable temporary buildings that were being used for teaching. The school has now been able to centralise classes within the existing Infants’ school and new Children’s Centre building.
