Admissions for entry into school in September 2010
You should start thinking about your child starting in a reception class in the September following their third birthday.
If your child was born between 1 September 2005 and 31 August 2006 you need to apply to the council for a place in a primary school for the 2010/2011 academic year. Search for a primary school.
- From 1 September 2009 you can apply online (eAdmissions external link).
- If you would prefer a paper form you can contact the Admissions Team on school.admissions@barnet.gov.uk to request an application pack. You will then be sent a Common Application Form (CAF) and brochure by the end of October 2009.
- You will automatically receive an application pack if your child already attends a Barnet nursery class.
- The closing date is 8 January 2010.
- You will be posted a letter on 16 April 2010 notifying you of the outcome (if you applied online you will be able to view the results from 4pm on 16 April 2010).
If you are not offered a place at your preferred school, you have the right of appeal.
