Statutory consultation school admission arrangements for academic year 2013 to 2014
The Council is consulting on admission arrangements for Barnet community schools for the academic year 2013/14. Responses to these arrangements are invited and should be submitted by 26 February 2012. The consultation document includes the following:
- The co-ordinated schemes for transfer to secondary school, reception class admissions and junior transfer admissions. These schemes enable the Local Authority to co-ordinate the allocation of places on an equal preference basis to schools across London and the adjoining authorities. There are no proposed changes to existing schemes other than the updated timetable.
- Oversubscription criteria for Barnet community schools, which determine how places are allocated if there are more applications than places available at a particular school.
- Proposal to adapt the existing scheme to continue the co-ordination of In-Year admission to Barnet schools.

Part D
Admission Authority schools are also required to consult upon any changes that have been made since their previously determined arrangements and those arrangements that have been submitted to the local authority are attached. Schools not included are either carrying out their own consultation or there are no proposed changes to their previously determined arrangements.
