What do we need to consider first?
Guidelines page three location - central, easily accessible, single-use
Guidelines page two policy - define the role, aims and objectives
- Who are the library users and what special features of the school need to be considered - for example range of languages spoken, possible community use of the library?
- Is the library adjacent to the ICT suite or integral with it as a learning resource area?
- Is it possible to avoid non-library use of the library (for example music lessons), timetable it for library lessons and allow for non-teaching time access for instance after school?
