School Travel Plans (STP)
A School Travel Plan (STP) is a document produced by a school that promotes sustainable and safe ways for the whole school community to travel to and from school. It encourages walking, cycling, car sharing and public transport to reduce the number of car journeys to and from schools.
The development of School Travel Plans (STP) is the key tool to achieve the SMoTS vision of enabling children and young people to access appropriate education training and employment through promotion and facilitation of more sustainable travel options.
