Pollution control - hazardous substances
Hazardous substances are controlled under COSHH, (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).

Premises that are licensed by the Local Authority can get advice and guidance on their duties under COSHH from our Licensing department.
If you have asbestos or chemicals in your home you would like to dispose of you need to contact the City of London. They will collect a limited amount of domestic asbestos free of charge. Sheets of up to 10ft long can be handled.
They will ask you to complete an information form and will endeavour to collect within 12 working days. They can be contacted on (020) 7332 3433, or visit the City of London website to download a form.
